The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to return to the familiar and contentious topic of freedom of religion next fall in a case that will be closely watched by all 50 states.
The issue this time is whether the state of Washington may withhold state scholarship funds from an otherwise qualified college student because that student wants to study theology.
